once I was a seed
freed by a bite
now I bear three blooms –
future fruit

These are its first flowers. I even remember eating the peach and carelessly tossing the stone into the garden.

Gorgeous coloured flowers. Our pear trees are yet to get their blossoms or maybe the possums have eaten them.

Hi Leslie, our pears haven’t come out yet either. I think they usually run a little behind the peaches and plums from memory..
This little peach is right up against the verandah wall, not a good spot at all really, but there’s something lovely about it starting a new life cycle after having been dropped there so thoughtlessly.
