I’ve been craving cookies lately, but thanks to this heatwave (13 consecutive days over 35 degrees now, and somehow breaking a record doesn’t quite make up for the effort..) the prospect of turning the oven on seems absurd. However, I made up some cookie dough in the hope a cool change some day, and recollections of childhood stealing over me, I had to eat some of the dough. I’ve always favoured my food in the raw. And fresh from the freezer, cut nice and thin, they seem to hit the spot, so much so that the first dough sausage ‘evaporated’ within a day of two, and we are half way through the second. They wash down very nicely with a cup of iced green tea.

Perhaps I should try cooking them on the pavers outside one afternoon, they might come up quite nicely..
