Vegetation and Gestation

I could give some long rambling excuses about why the blog has been so sadly neglected of late, describing assorted frustrations with computers and lost images etc, or ascribing it to various other pressing life happenstances, but really, you don’t want to know, and I’m far too practiced at making excuses when in reality I’m just slack – or rather, I run on inspiration, an fickle wind indeed.

However, I was called upon by a friend of a friend to assist in her blessingway by hennaing her bump. What a joy and an honour! After some discussion and browsing, she decided a tree would be most fitting, and the results of a happy hour’s work are pictured below.

Her little passenger was intrigued by the strange goings-on on the surface that s/he wiggled and squirmed throughout. It’ s quite disconcerting to draw on a moving surface!

Thanks! 🙂 It was a lot of fun, especially since the baby kept wiggling around underneath the drawing.
